Hi. I got banned from dA…. I’ll be back on when I can.
But that is not the point! This is:
In my opion (just mine, you may not think this) I think the Before looks WAY better. It’s just brighter and brings out the car where as it doesn’t in After and also in After I was finding it diffcult it locate the arm coming out of the car.
Hey, take no notice of me…
way to miss the point pamela… This is a cool effect. Colors look like a faded 70’s sweater catalog.
I do think this is a cool effect. When I saw the ‘after’ I immediately thought of the pictures of my dad when he was young and growing up in the 70’s, driving his orange van and sporting a sweet mini hippy white-boy fro. Way to go!
I haven’t used this yet, but I think that your sample looks great. This is a very popular effect out right now. I will incorporate it soon with some of the other levels adjustments I use. Thanks!
Hey Emanuele,
Looks great. I’ve tried it out but I don’t really know what preferences I should plug in under the Fill window. How do I do that?
Thanks!
I was looking for something with this effect and I tried to make my own for several hours before coming across this. I used it and it turned my photo slighly blue but I added some “sepia” tone and it gave the effect I was looking for! Thank you!
Ps. Pamela you’re an idiot.
what photoshop do you have to use wit this??? does it matter?
Vintage is in ;)
Very cool, worked for me // thanks!
This effect worked lovely :)
i’m sorry for this but how exaclty do i use an action in photoshop, i mean how do i apply it?
This is THE BEST Retro effect Photoshop action. I am wondering if you could write a nice action for Photoshop to give photos the archies card effect
Genial!! mis fotos se ven increÃbles con esta acción, y en la mayorÃa de los casos, muy convincentes.. gracias!
Hi. I’ve hardly ever used photoshop but I really want to learn. After I dl the zip file and unzip it how do I apply it to photoshop?
thx
How do you use this?
Pamela, you’re an idiot.
Open the Window for Actions. Locate the little arrow on the right corner. Select “Load Actions” and open the .atn file.
Thanks for the action Emanuel. Been searching all over for it. Keep up the good work!
yes very cool indeed… old school is new nowadays…
Hi Emanuele.

This is truly brilliant, thank you for sharing this.
I am new to photoshop, could anybody possibly tell me how to apply this to my photograph?
I have managed to open the effect onto photoshop itself in ‘actions’ but what do I do next?
Many thanks!
thanks, it’s great! :)
Exactly what I was pondering about and trying to find time to research… really needed this, brilliant work, keep it coming, thanks!
