On the horizon #1

I start today a new category called “On the horizon”.

Since I ofter receive emails and comments asking when a tutorial will be released, I dediced to write every 10-15 days what’s coming soon on emanueleferonato.com

It works this way: here it is a list of tutorials and projects I am actually working on. You can raise the priority of one of them or ask for a new project by commenting this post.

So let’s see what’s on the horizon

  • Next part of the line rider tutorial
  • Next part of the ball game creation tutorial
  • Making a breakout game
  • Next part of the artillery game tutorial
  • Flash Sokoban game
  • Javascript Sokoban game
  • Huge tutorial about the creation of a platform game (even better than Tony Pa’s tutorials
  • Photoshop tutorial about achieving the “crush” effect seen in “300″ movie
  • Review of a game submitted by a user where you have to abduct cows…
  • Review of a kinda fight game submitted by a user
  • PHP script to generate or solve Sudokus
  • An Ajax game with high scores
  • Some tips to optimize WordPress database

There are the most incoming projects… I have a lot more in my HD but at the moment I am working on the ones I wrote above.

Tell me how high is the hype…

That’s cool Emanuele, I’m really looking forward to the platform game tutorial, especially if it is actually better than the Tony Pa tutorials. Also looking forward to that Ajax game, don’t know what Sokoban is, but this all looks good. :)

    Way to go.

    @ Tony
Ajax is a Dutch soccerteam (located in the capitel city).

In this context Ajax has nothing to do with football and everything to do with Asynchronous Javascript And XML. It’s an online programming methodology.

Emanuelle – the list sound great

Make platforming game first, than Artillery then follow with your normal order.

P.S if its possible make a bike mania type game first.

Platform sounds cool, but I also would just like to see the continuation of the artillery game and ball creation game. Line rider tutorial is low priority to me. Just keep doing what your doing, you’re awesome!

I’m excited about the PHP Sudoku script, and the continuation of the artillery game. Like Peter, the Line Rider series is a real low priority on my hype list, but the rest of it sounds pretty interesting. :)

I think that a great tutorial would be som super mario functions. Such as the jump function. You will jump higher the longer you hold the key, and the animation will stay as long as you’r in the air. That would be a great think I think…

Maybe you could add a few more things to the security game tutorial.

I was wondering if you could make a platform game with point and shoot – sort of like “wpnfire,” but much less complicated, of course.

Hey Emanuele, have you checked out Epsilon?
    http://armorgames.com/play/1642/epsilon
It is the best online physics game I’ve ever played! You’ll love it! I’m trying to make a remake of it using everthing from your Line Rider and Deflection Tutorials. Should be easy enough!
