RRODE: the second one-week game
My 10th released game is my 9th produced one.
If you wonder why Summer Couples was made a month after the game I am going to introduce now, it’s because looking for a sponsorship can take some time.
More than a month in this case.
Once I uploaded the game on FlashGameLicense I received some offers in the first week but I had to wait a month in order to get the one I think it’s the best for that kind of game.
So think twice before accepting the first offer
First of all let me introduce the sponsor: HALLPASS.
It’s one of the big names out there, so it does not need any additional information, but just let me remind you what Hallpass has and other sites do not have: challenges
With challenges, you may challenge other players at your favorite game with an interesting set of options, such as challenges or challenges based upon a number of attempts
Now, let’s talk about the game: RRODE
It’s an one button game (a game that you can play just pressing a button, like Metro Siberia Underground) based on the prototype of a Flash game like GearTaker.
It features 2 game modes, one with passwords to continue from the last unbeaten level and an arcade mode, 51 levels, 5 different wheel types, walls, obstacles and so on.
If you play the game, you will find levels are the one you can see in the picture at Turn wasted time into level design, anyway the whole game took me 26 hours to be done, most of them spent finetuning level design.
RRODE was also finetuned with First Impressions service I reviewed some days ago.
If you are a portal owner and want to include this game in your site, here it is my distribution pack including the game, a 100×100 jpg image, and a text file with game description, instructions and specs.
Now go and play RRODE!!.
Tell me what do you think about this post. I'll write better and better entries.
They can be easily customized to meet the unique requirements of your project.

wow that looks like a really nice game. I’ll play it soon hopefully.
I think it’s awesome how you can create some good games in only a couple of days…
you are really inspiring me to make games that might have to potential to get a sponsorship!
hi i like it but it really reminds me of gear taker in facet it is gear taker with better visuals and some new ideas
it is virtually geartaker, but the problem with game designing now is that most developers can do all the code they might ever need, they just can’t think of ideas and when they think of them it is probably already a game.
Its a nice game with professional looking graphics. Hope you got a good amount from hallpass. Only thing that annoyed me was that it lacked a level select screen, the password system was good but why don’t you use shared objects and introduce a save feature. Maybe next time.
so how much did u get for the game? :)
Cool game, I really like the extras you put into it past those seen in GearTaker, such as the filling the circles of the gears and collecting the star coin.
Only thing is, could just be my computer, but it lagged too horribly to really play much past the first few levels. I think my laptop lags really bad with GearTaker too, so could just be that kind of game. Usually don’t get it that bad with Flash games.
Looks like a great game though.
That is one sweet game, especially with the small amount of time taken to make it. Congratulations on the sponsorship. Are you going to post this games revenue later?
tudway: I used the password system because it’s part of the experiment.
A game is really successful when you see its walkthrough on the web
I’ll see if someone will publish all passwords in a month or two
Mr Sun: I will post all games revenues soon
To open with NICE! COOL! AWESOME! SWEET!
Unless it is at very low frames per second it lags even at low quality for me. what is it’s fps?
Very nice game. Thanx
This game is awesome !
I’m not experiencing any lag on my computer.
I’m at lv 11 for 1 hour now, I like the game’s difficulty.
im sorry but i disliked that game…
just cause it was WAY to hard for my simple mind and bad reaction times… sorry. its a great consept and a great game tho!
Yeah, i got a great review and walkthrough from jayisgames which boosted my hits hugely for my latest game. It had neither a save or a level select and one of the main suggestions from all over the web was that it needed a save feature. I have incorporated one in the sequel in a quite interesting way, but i can’t show you as I’m still in the middle of a sponsorship deal.
