Triqui.com WordPress arcade now in beta

If you followed the Creation of a Flash arcade site using WordPress series you know I am about to release a WP Arcade theme with automatic game submission thanks to a plugin that parses MochiAds feed.

It’s time to open the beta to the public and make the site run.

It’s time to play, rate and comment games on triqui.com

Triqui.com

As soon as you comment and rate games, I will be able to improve it thanks to your feedback.

Don’t forget I am about to release both the theme and the plugin for free a few days after the end of this month so your feedback is very appreciated.

Just a couple of technical information: the theme I am designing is a mix between the free version of Revolution Blog WordPress Theme and CSSEY, while the logo was made following Icey Styles in Photoshop tutorial.

Wow, from what is was before as a plain WP blog to what is it now. Good job, very good job. 5/5 for turning WP into an arcade.

Very nice job. The only problem I have with it is that the sidebar is waaay too tall.

Do you get money for every Mochiads hit on triqui.com? You should let us know how successful mochiads publishers is.

    Great job, by the way.

    Great!

I only miss the header to be a link to the homepage

Looks amazing! I’m very excited to check out your theme.

    Two notes:
    1) Having a page with the highest rated and most popular games. There are many games here but not all are that good. This would help users find better content.

    2) I may have missed it, but the submit page for us to test out.

By the way, how do you have so many games in here so early? Very, very impressive!

Looks awesome! One little bug I noticed though, on the category screens (Action Adventure etc) You can see in the title the words “Rate this game:” You might want to fix that.

    Other than that, congrats!

Sorry for double comments, but you also might want to move the search function to somewhere on the top of the screen, where you have it on this page is good.

So, wait. You’ll be using this site to steal other people’s Flash games (not even hosting them yourself) and put them on your site to make money off them?

    You sure that’s right?

  10. Graham on September 29th, 2008 4:30 am

Skofo, he’s not stealing them, he’s helping the developers. The developers will get their game distributed, and make their own money, and Emanuele will make his share of it.

Its great for the developer, not bad!

You might want to leave out the date from the game url. Better for Google Search Ranking, IMHO.

    Don’t really like this:
    http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.triqui.com%2F&charset=(detect+automatically)&doctype=Inline&group=0

    541 Errors…

  13. Jerry on September 29th, 2008 3:39 pm

    Good job.

Emanuele, is looking good but I’ve spotted something, in Italian “ultimo” means “LAST” as you have used it, but in this case we’re talking about a different “utlimo” that is “LATEST” so the categories need to be renamed to “LATEST blah blah” instead of “LAST blah blah”.
I’m just guessing that will be the correct way in English though

apart from that, great job! well done man ;)

I think that it needs a most popular list and featured list, then it would be much better.
