WordPress MochiAds plugin beta FIXED – UPGRADE

Loyal readers know I am developing a WordPress theme and plugin to run an arcade site using MochiAds games.

Released some months ago, it has been fixed when the mochi feed changed and while I was working to make it compatible with Gallery theme and add some new features, the feed changed again so I am updating the plugin again.

Now you can download the mochi.php file and replace the old one.

Refer to WordPress MochiAds plugin beta released for full installation and how-to.

Then, before you start feeding the blog again, you must select Mochi Table to update your table.

You also will notice two new menu options: Mochi Directory, that you should click to create a directory to save your own games, and the alpha version of Manage Game Files that will allow to download selected games from Mochi servers directly to your blog, earning money with the MochiAds publisher program.

Even if it’s just a beta, you can look at the script to see how I developed this function.

If you have some suggestions, let me know. I am working to the theme+plugin so any idea is welcome.

   How does this work with the MochiAds policy on displaying ads?

   Not trying to be a stick in the mud, but their FAQ says “We do not accept Flash content that is not a game (e.g., movies or tools) or games containing adult or mature content.”

   Can you say a date for the release of the plugin?
   Also, are all Mochiads games in English? not other languages?

   When your developing our arcade site do you use WAMP,XAMPP or a your own local sever? Or do you develop on an online server? I’m asking because I’d like to play around with the WP arcade on a local server.

   Emanuele, option plug Manage Files Game, pressing in the games, I copy them to my own server, but the game still sending on the Web, directly from mochiads, how can I do to show the version stored on my server , to collect views.

   @RipeX: No, it would appear not. I thought it was a plugin for displaying ads through Mochi on your blog. Upon re-reading it, I have no clue where I got that idea.

   I’m curious; does anyone have data from their own arcade sites that they’re willing to share? It doesn’t seem like they have much income potential because of the amount of existing Flash portals.
