Milestone: reached $100 with MochiAds

I am very happy to share this milestone with you!

Yesterday I reached the $100 goal with MochiAds.

It took me more than two years of game design and promotion, but finally I am one of the guys that made it.

This is another proof the blog is a great resource for everybody trying to develop and monetize Flash games, because every single step you need to know is written here.

You know $100 is the minimum requirement to get paid by MochiAds.

Now finally I made it!!!! With one game. In one day :)

The game is Christmas Couples and is having a second (third) youth since it’s Christmas… I always said season games have a sense.

    @ zproxy:
This game is submitted on Mindjolt since last week.
So that’s the whole secret, but *psshhhhhh*.

    Best wishes and good job

    Congratulations!

    btw…

Now I am submitting the game to some portals, then I’ll release the source code…

if you release it in this life don’t forget to convert this in AS3:-)

Hahaha! I saw it on mindjolt and I was wondering what was it doing there! ;)
Did you submit Christmas Couples only now to mindjolt?

The game was submitted to MJ two years ago.

Probably it returned to home page in these days since it’s christmas time.

anyway, I have other games on MJ and none of them generate this kind of revenue… and of course MJ is not the only source traffic.

But obviously it’s the main one

I was like ‘$100? er..’ then I realized you meant in one day, haha. Nice one.

To be honest I am surprised it took you this long to get to the $100 mark. I have one game on Mochi and have had 3/4 payments from them, and you make loads of games…

It’s a good feeling though – getting that first payment. Now you need to make it a more regular thing :)

Ben, I meant I got to the mark in ONE day, with ONE game…

    Congratulations Emanuele!

You should probably update the title of this post to clear up any confusion.

I earn more than this every day by making flash games. But not from mochiads.

Nice to see your success on games.. actually you are little bit late to reach this.. by the way.. i believe that you earn much with other advertises.
    And Emanuele !
    Thanks for everything (:

I really don’t understand this. I have a game submitted on Mochi that is 266 days old and didn’t generate so much money. And don’t get me wrong, the game is way better than yours, it a multiplayer match 3 game with power-up, etc.

You can see it here: http://robiju.apropo.ro/

Looking forward for some opinions about this paradox from your more experienced readers!

I have a game on mindjolt front page for a few months and its really the best thing that could happen to a game.

    Hi Emanuele,

I can’t believe it’s your first Mochi Ad payment, since you’re a flash gaming icon, although it’s a good sign that it all came in one day. Hopefully there’s more ahead.

I had more than 150 in 1 day (without mindjolt)

flashbynightgames, he means he got his first 100 dollars off one game in one day, not his first payment ever

I launched my first mochi game today, roxdoku, a 3d variant of sudoku:

    vaevictis.it/roxdoku

what do you think about it? how would you promote it?
