Globez Flash game – 100k impression later

Here I am with a little update about Globez flash game.

Previously uploaded only on NG and Kongregate, now it has been submitted for distribution on MochiMedia and now reached 100k impressions (101,947 at the time of writing).

It also allowed me to collect feedback about the game, so I read all comments both on gaming portals and the blog, as well as the Facebook page, and I was able to find an annoying feature: since it’s not some kind of mouse avoider game, players do not want to have the current chain reset should they touch a wrong color.

So I fixed the issue and thanks to MochiMedia version control I was able to update the game everywhere.

Then I forked the game, I removed all Mochi and Kong APIs and I submitted the game to MindJolt, after adding their API. It should take more than a month to have the game published on MJ, but the income from such portal can be huge so I’ll be waiting patiently.

Now I stopped game submission because I am working on the iPhone version with Stencyl, it’s pretty complete but I found in 8×8 grid is a bit hard to play, while it plays well on a 7×7 and 6×6 grid.

Probably I’ll keep the three versions, having three different game modes. Once the iPhone game will be out, I’ll update the Flash game to show the app store icon in the title screen and continue with the distribution of the game.

I also received two offers for a non-exclusive sponsorship, but I had to refuse them because I plan to sell the source code of the game and it wouldn’t be correct to sell source code of a licensed game.

See you in the next update, hopefully with 1M impressions.

Hello I’m new to game portals and selling your wares. If you are willing to share, what kinda range of $ should 1 expect for 1000 impressions?

@Rick If you are good enough to make a game that is popular and have someone who will pay you for a 1000 impressions, I personally would expect to make about 10$… :)

…Not sure why I said that, sorry… I made 5k impressions on one of my games and have a total of $2.37 so yeah, not sure if I got ripped off or if I did it wrong :P

This surely looks like game which will suit MindJolt!

BTW I’ve noticed that it’s worth it to filter MochiAds for Newgrounds – It can increase your score a little.

    Fun game :D

So what sort of revenue do you get for so many impressions? I understand it depends on the PPC and click-through rate?
