Play 99 Stakes, my latest Flash game powered by Box2D

Emanuele Feronato Actionscript 3, Box2D, Flash, Game design, Monetize

Time for you to play 99 Stakes, my latest Flash game.

It’s a Flash Box2D game built upon the flying arrow simulation tutorial I posted some time ago.

You control a crossbow you can drag with the mouse, and must kill all the evil vampires.

The problem is there are 200 vampires scattered around 40 levels, but you only have 99 stakes. It’s up to you to find how to gain extra stakes.

The game features:

* 40 levels
* 200 vampires to kill
* 3 vampire hot spots to hit: body, head and heart
* 5 different types of terrain
* particle blood powered by Flint Particles
* realistic stakes behavior

Also, in this first step the game is monetized using MochiMedia ads, including the new CPA Ads, which you can see in the above picture, let’s see how does it perform.

Meanwhile, play 99 Stakes and have fun!

    Hi Emanuele,

    Sorry for my english.
    I have commented your pretty old post about as3 level editor,

    I have read that you plan to make as3 level editor tutorials.
    I didnt find any tutorials so I wonder did you ever try to make it?

    Hey Emanuele,

    I think the game play is a lot of fun- shooting the stakes at the vampires, having them stick, and the explosions.

    But I think the boxes getting in the way might actually take away a little of the fun.

    The best way I can see to make it more fun is making the boxes destructible, or at least some of them. Either that, or make them static objects (that can’t completely surround the targets).

    But shooting them, having it stick, and the explosions are a lot of fun!

    If you can make the boxes destructible(or at least the majority of them), I think it would make for a more fun to play game.
