“Start building the game of your dreams today with #nocode”.
This is how Buildbox welcomes you in the home page.
This game engine allows you to create both 2D and 3D games with no code, thanks to rich set of templates, assets of everything you can need and a huge amount of tutorials and examples.
Although I never published anything with Buildbox yet, I am playing with it for some months and I can tell you it’s very easy to build a game out of the templates, and I only have some doubts about the creation of truly random levels or games which aren’t included among the templates.
Anyway next week I’ll do my best to try to build a completely random game, just to see how powerful is Buildbox if you decide to take some steps outside the nocode zone. A lot of successful games have been developed using Buildbox, so it’s positively a tool worth a try.
The good thing is you can get Buildbox for free and start building something awesome today. The free version allows to publish your games for iOS and Android so it’s quite complete, and there’s a PRO subscription plan if you need more options.
To celebrate the launch of free Buildbox, here comes a game jam with “cyberpunk” theme where the top 15 entries win consoles and and gift cards.
As said, I am going to try to build something from scratch, without using any template, will publish what I’ll sort out of it next week.
